M33 helmet of the 34th Regt. of Livorno.  This helmet is my pride and joy.  Brought back from Sicily as a war trophy.  The Livorno made an assault on US forces as they grouped on the coast.

M42 bustina of a tank unit.  This particular example was captured at Wadi Akarit....in Tunisia.

M33 that does not have the insignia applied.  Theoretically, the insignia was not applied after sometime in 1942...but there are many period photos of residual insignia due to personal choice, esprit di corp, etc.  This example has the wartime finish applied over the earlier, lighter  green or shinier finish.

Prewar, MVSN helmet with correct black chin strap.  The color came more into army regulations once the war started.
